watching　　　a　　　mouse’s　　　hole；　　　　　　　fixes　　his　　charmed　　　　　　gaze　　　　again　　　on　　　his　

young　client；　and　proceeds　in　　　his　buttoned…up　　　half…audible　　　voice；　

as　if　there　were　an　unclean　spirit　in　him　that　will　neither　come　out

Perhaps　Mr　Vholes　knows　there　is。
